How to Find a TESDA Training Center and Assessment Center

Check the official lists before you enroll or pay. The training program has to be registered with TESDA for the course you will take. An assessment center has a separate authorization, and it is for an exact qualification. A Facebook page, a tarpaulin that says “TESDA accredited,” or the school name alone does not settle it.

SiteDecide is an independent educational information resource and is not affiliated with TESDA. Lists and fees change. Match what you find on TESDA’s pages, then confirm the schedule and the amount with the center or a TESDA office before you pay.

If you want to start with an online course, the free TESDA online courses guide covers enrollment in the TESDA Online Program. If you need a National Certificate after that, how to get a National Certificate covers the assessment steps.

Two official searches

Training and assessment are separate searches.

TVI means Technical Vocational Institution. The list includes private schools and TESDA training centers when they have a registered program.

What “accredited” means

Many schools print “TESDA accredited” on a poster. TESDA’s published pages use two different checks.

Registered program is the check before training. On the Program Registration and Accreditation page, program registration in the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System, or UTPRAS, is mandatory before an institution offers the program. It checks that the TVI meets the minimum requirements in the Training Regulation, including the curriculum, faculty and staff qualifications, the site and facilities, and the tools, equipment, supplies, and materials.

When the requirements are complete, TESDA issues a Certificate of Program Registration (CoPR). The program is listed in the Compendium of Registered Programs. It can later go through a compliance audit, and sometimes surveillance after a complaint.

Accredited assessment center is the check before assessment. In the 2017 TVET Glossary of Terms, following TESDA Circular No. 15, s. 2015, an accredited competency assessment center is an establishment officially authorized by TESDA to manage the assessment of candidates for national certification. An accredited competency assessor is an individual authorized by TESDA to assess a candidate for that certification.

The same glossary defines accreditation as TESDA recognizing or empowering an entity to perform a specified role. A tarpaulin that says “accredited” still has to match the role you need: a registered program for training, or assessment-center authorization for the qualification you will take.

A school can have a registered training program and still have no accreditation as an assessment center for that qualification. A center can also be accredited for a different course. Open the center’s qualifications and look for the exact name, including the NC level.

How to find a training center

  1. Write down the exact qualification, such as Cookery NC II or Computer Systems Servicing NC II. “Cooking,” “computer,” or the name of one TESDA Online Program module is not enough.
  2. Open TVI with Registered Program. The Course field has an asterisk, so enter the program name first. Add the school and location if you already know them.
  3. Match the school name and the address to the place you will attend. A program registered at another branch is a separate record.
  4. Open Newly Registered and Closed Programs on that page. Do not treat a program as open if the list shows it as closed.
  5. Check Institutions Issued with Cease and Desist Order. The page has columns for the institution, the unregistered program, and the address. The list changes, so read the page itself before you pay.
  6. If you want a TESDA-run center, such as a Regional Training Center or a Provincial Training Center, open the Technology Institute directory and filter by region. That directory lists addresses and contacts. Still verify the program in the TVI search.
  7. If the school is missing, or the address does not match, call or visit the TESDA regional or provincial office.

A registered program does not always lead to a National Certificate. A program with a Training Regulation is based on a promulgated TR. Some registered programs have no Training Regulation. An NC comes from assessment of a qualification that has a TR. Check the Training Regulations list.

The TESDA Online Program is a free online catalog. It is not a search for face-to-face training centers. A scholarship slot with a Training Support Fund is also separate from the TVI search. The face-to-face scholarship guide covers the 2026 program names and where to apply.

What to ask before you enroll

Take this list to the school and match the answers to the official pages before you pay.

  • What is the exact program name and NC level of the class you will attend?
  • Is there a Certificate of Program Registration for that program, and is it still on the TVI search for the address you will visit?
  • What is the start date, the schedule, the number of training days, and is the class face-to-face?
  • What is the full training fee, and what does it include: tools, uniform, ID, and assessment?
  • Is a scholarship slot open? That is a separate application. In many scholarship programs, assessment is covered when the program includes it. Confirm that with the office that issued the slot. If you are paying as a regular trainee, the assessment fee is separate.
  • Who is the trainer, and can you check a National TVET Trainer Certificate in the Registry of Trainers with NTTC for that qualification? If the name is missing, ask the TESDA provincial office before you pay.
  • Will you receive an official receipt in the school’s name?

Do not pay a “reservation,” “processing,” or “slot” fee to a personal GCash account, Messenger chat, or Facebook page. The legit guide covers the official TESDA sites and the pages to avoid.

How to find an assessment center

  1. Choose the exact qualification, including the NC level.
  2. Open the Assessment Centers page. To search by qualification, region, and province, use the Assessment Center Index.
  3. Check the center name, region, province, and address. Open that center’s qualifications and look for yours.
  4. Call or visit the center, or the TESDA District or Provincial Office. Ask whether a schedule is open. The index lists accredited centers. It is not a slot booking.
  5. TESDA’s assessment FAQ says you may apply at a private TESDA-accredited assessment center, a TESDA Regional or Provincial Office, or a TESDA TVET institution that is an assessment center.

The requirements, the payment, and how to claim the NC are in how to get a National Certificate.

What to ask before you pay an assessment fee

  • Is the center accredited for the exact qualification, rather than only a related course?
  • What is the fee, and does it match the Promulgated Assessment Fees? The FAQ says a private TESDA-accredited assessment center may collect the fee based on the amount the TESDA Board set for that qualification.
  • What are the date and venue?
  • Which picture and ID checklist does this center use? TESDA’s published pages do not all use the same photo count, so follow the center’s copy.
  • Will a TESDA-accredited competency assessor conduct the assessment? You can open the Registry of Certified Assessors. If you cannot verify the name there, ask the center or the provincial office.

Pay the assessment center cashier. Keep the official receipt and the admission slip. Do not pay a fixer who offers to process the NC.

For general inquiries, the TESDA site lists contactcenter@tesda.gov.ph, 8887-7777, and text-only 0917-479-4370. It also lists a pilot Contact Center Hotline, (02) 7709-0075 and (02) 7709-0076, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, for selected inquiries. Training and assessment schedules come from the center or the provincial office.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the official search for a TESDA training center?

On TESDA’s TVI with Registered Program page. Enter the course. You can also enter the school and location. Also open Newly Registered and Closed Programs, and the page of institutions issued with a cease and desist order.

What does accredited mean at TESDA?

For an assessment center, TESDA has authorized it to manage assessment of candidates for national certification. For an assessor, TESDA has authorized that person to assess candidates for that certification. For training, look for a registered program and a Certificate of Program Registration. Program registration is separate from assessment-center accreditation.

Is a training center the same as an assessment center?

The two lists are separate. A school can have a registered training program for a qualification and have no accreditation as an assessment center for that qualification. Check the TVI search and the Assessment Center Index.

What should I ask before I enroll?

Ask for the exact program and NC level, request the Certificate of Program Registration, and match the address on the TVI search. Ask about the schedule, the full training fee, whether a scholarship slot is open, and whether assessment is included. Ask for an official receipt. Do not pay a reservation fee to a personal account or a Facebook page.

What should I ask before I pay an assessment fee?

Confirm that the center is accredited for the exact qualification, that the amount matches the promulgated assessment fee, and when and where the schedule is. Pay the center’s cashier and keep the official receipt.

Match the program in the TVI search and the qualification in the Assessment Center Index first. Pay after that, and keep the official receipt.
